Also entered the Westgate Supercontest and Circa Sports Million. My picks were utter crap in the contests. But I've actually done ok beating the Vegas closing numbers. Hitting on about 55% of my bets. Not very good, but I'll take it. Season is not yet over, so we'll see how we do.
Yep, I haven't updated this blog since before the 2019 season. I'll blame my newborn daughter. She's quite the handful. She does not sleep. I repeat, SHE DOES NOT SLEEP. Been busy with fantasy football and sports betting as well. It's been an up and down season for me. Made the playoffs in 10 of my 25 leagues. It's been a struggle, hopefully I end up with at least some money when all is said and done.

My latest draft on FFPC. Picked from the 8 spot, started with Davante Adams, took Joe Mixon in the second round. Devonta Freeman somehow fell to me in the third round. FFPC is TE-premium, got Jared Cook, Kyle Rudolph, and Jack Doyle. Maybe I reached for Courtland Sutton. Hope you're listening to my live podcast for this draft right now too! ![]() Summer is upon us! We are getting closer and closer to Fantasy Football season! In just a couple short months, we will all be knee deep in preparing for our drafts. It certainly does not hurt to start your preparation now. It's time to start researching and mocking, mocking, mock drafting. The more knowledge you have, the bigger of an advantage you will have over your opponents. Lately, I've been knee deep in dynasty leagues. I bought three orphans over on Fulltime Fantasy (formerly Scout Fantasy), to add to my one on dynasty team on FFPC and the two I'm running on KFFSC. Here is a sample of what I have to work with in one of these leagues: I also have completed drafting one redraft team, the Big Valentine league in the KFFSC; which I hate. It does pose a good amount of upside in my opinion, but those upside players will be playing on possibly bad teams. I drafted a couple of Buffalo WR's and ended up with a Detroit Lions stack (Stafford, Marvin Jones, Hockenson, Riddick). We'll see what happens: Lastly, my Fantasy Baseball teams have sucked so far this summer. I have not completely given up on them yet. But I am doing more Fantasy Football prep. That's totally fine with me.
Hey all! Sorry for not posting or making any podcasts lately. Just been very busy. Also really bummed about the Vegas Golden Knights losing in the first round of the NHL playoffs. My fantasy baseball teams are not doing so hot either.
Sorry for the non- fantasy football post, I wanted to post my NFBC Cutline baseball draft results on here. Not all of the picks shown (42 each draft), only the first 10. Teams are best ball, and not doing very well right now. We'll see how they end up at the end of the baseball season.
Patiently waiting for the NFL Draft..... Every year, there are dynasty owners that decide to cut bait on their dynasty teams. It kind of makes me sad that they leave, or orphan, their teams. But we cannot judge these owners as life dictates what we can or cannot keep up with, and dynasty fantasy football is just a teeny tiny part of the grand scheme of life. That leaves these dynasty orphan teams available for those who just cannot get enough! You can find dynasty orphans on just about any paid fantasy football platform, like RTSports, MyFantasyLeague, DataForceFF, Scout Fantasy, and FFPC. I actually just bought a dynasty orphan on FFPC. How did I go about buying this reclamation project in particular? Like everything else in life, it is an evaluation process. Here is what I look for in a dynasty orphan: 1. Youth - The point of a having a dynasty team is to field a contender year after year. You want younger players who are consistent point producers that will be on your team for at least the next three years. Although they can help, you should avoid buying teams with too many aging veterans. My rules of thumb (most people actually) regarding age are running backs should be no older than 26, and wide receiver should be no older than 28. Unlike the running back position, it's ok to have a quarterback over the age of 30 when looking for dynasty orphans to buy. 2. Lots of draft picks - Many times you have dynasty orphans where owners mortgage their present for the future, trading assets for future draft picks. These owners sometimes trade away too much, then end up losing for at least a couple of seasons then end up getting rid of their team because they get tired of losing. They are duped by the sexiness of having draft picks. Draft picks are the bright new shiny things that have that magnetic attraction. People are just drawn to draft picks. Experienced dynasty owners know that draft picks, high or low, don't always pan out. They also know that draft picks are easily the most trade-able asset because of that magnetic attraction. 3. Playable players - Again, draft picks don't always pan out. You still need players to fill out your lineup, preferably the younger, consistent point producers mentioned earlier. Filling out your roster with consistent VETERAN point producers won't hurt either. You still want to win games, and championships, all while developing your dynasty team to consistently win for your duration of ownership of the team. 4. Star players who are coming back from injury - Usually, players who have an injury history scare me off. But sometimes players coming off injury the prior year can help you win right after you purchase an orphan. One dynasty orphan I bought back in 2017 had Todd Gurley and Keenan Allen, both were injured the season prior. Those two led that team to a championship that year, and a playoff run in the 2018 season. I might have been extremely lucky that season; but it can happen to you also, as long as you take into consideration the talent and team the injured player is on before you invest in a team with injuries to star players. I've been playing dynasty for the past six years now. I've bought, sold, and started up dynasty teams. I've won champions with dynasty orphans, and I've dumped dynasty orphans that were absolute garbage that I should not have invested in the first place. Dynasty orphans are just like any other successful reclamation project, it takes patience, persistence, and pure passion to win. Guess who the newest NHL correspondent on FantasyPros.com is! Yep, it's me! I know, I know, this is not about fantasy football. But I am also a HUGE Vegas Golden Knights fan. I get to write VGK (and other teams) news updates on FantasyPros for their NHL news page. Thanks to Blaine Blontz and FantasyPros for giving me another outlet to display my enthusiasm for fantasy sports. Catch my work at https://www.fantasypros.com/nhl/ tplayer-news.php

by Mark SalinasWelcome to the INFERNO Fantasy Football blog! I may look young (see the "About" page), but I played in my first Fantasy Football league way back in 1995. I started playing in mid/high stakes FF leagues five years ago and even won one (2014 FFWC #8). I also won the 2016 KFFSC. In 2018, I was Top 5 in the SBFFC. This blog will document my thoughts, experiences, and exploits in the realm of Fantasy Football. I've also been starting to do sports betting more in 2019. Any picks I post are for entertainment purposes only. Thanks for reading! Archives
