I am so honored to be participating in the 2015 Scott Fish Bowl #SFB360! This is a huge 360 team pro-am league. I get to compete against experts from Dynasty League Football, Footballguys.com, FantasySharks.com, and other great fantasy football sites. Below is the team I drafted. I made a rookie mistake early in the draft, so I feel this team turned out pretty mediocre. But anything can happen, any given Sunday. Wish me luck!

Stevie Johnson
Yes, I'm a Charger fan. My dog's name is Charger. So this may sound like a homer pick to you. But please remember, Phillip Rivers makes good use of his third receiver. Before Stevie Johnson, Rivers had Eddie Royal. Before Royal, he had Danario Alexander. Those guys put up good stats with Rivers and so will Stevie J. In earlier drafts, I was taking him around the 16th round. I've had to take him earlier in the 11th round more recently. I'm guessing Stevie's ADP will plateau around the 10th round though. He will be fine as your WR4 or WR5. Welcome and thanks for reading my first fantasy football blog post. Right now I'm drafting in a few slow drafts. If you don't know what a slow draft is, it is a fantasy football draft where picks are made within a 8-12 hour time frame. You are usually notified when it is your pick by email. I'm currently drafting in slow draft leagues in the FFPC, FFWC, and everybody's favorite, MFL10s.
As a matter of fact, I signed up for an MFL10 just last night. The draft started at 10:00am today (I live in Las Vegas, so Pacific Time Zone) and we have to make draft picks before the 8 hour clock runs out. It is almost 4:00pm as I write this, so the first drafter has roughly two hours left to make his pick. So if I may ask, is this ok? Yes, he has two hours, but is it ok to keep the rest of us waiting? I understand that we all have jobs and families (I love you honey!). And I do like to take a few minutes to consider all my options for my picks. But I find most of the gripes people make in these slow drafts, are about people who use up the whole 8-12 hour clock to make a pick. For those who are paying strict attention to the draft, the wait can be very irritating. In my humble opinion, drafters should log in and make their picks when they get their email notifications, don't wait. The clock will run out on you and you may end up with a player you might not want. In the process, you'll piss off the rest of the drafters in your league. Drafting is fun, waiting is not. Thanks! |
by Mark SalinasWelcome to the INFERNO Fantasy Football blog! I may look young (see the "About" page), but I played in my first Fantasy Football league way back in 1995. I started playing in mid/high stakes FF leagues five years ago and even won one (2014 FFWC #8). I also won the 2016 KFFSC. In 2018, I was Top 5 in the SBFFC. This blog will document my thoughts, experiences, and exploits in the realm of Fantasy Football. I've also been starting to do sports betting more in 2019. Any picks I post are for entertainment purposes only. Thanks for reading! Archives
